Devoted fans of the series often relate great inspiration to Harry's stories and adventures - but what line (from the books or films) hits home most to you, and inspires you or makes you feel something special?

"Of course it's happening inside your head Harry, but why on earth should that mean it isn't real?" Reminds me of maybe Jo's way of telling us the magic is real. <3

I have two.
"But he understood at last what Dumbledore had been trying to tell him. It was, he thought, the difference between being dragged into the arena to face a battle to the death and walking into the arena with your head held high. Some people, perhaps, would say that there was little to choose between the two ways, but Dumbledore knew - and so do I, thought Harry, with a rush of fierce pride, and so did my parents - that there was all the difference in the world." (HBP)
"Mischief Managed."
The first is all about choices. Which is a big thing in the series and in life. And it's a matter of facing those choices head-on, or allowing someone to choose your path for you. The second, to me, represents the chaos being sorted out.

Mmmm this is really hard,i have lots! But my favorite has to be "Of course it's happening inside your head Harry, but why on earth should that mean it isn't real?" ~ Dumbledore. This one inspires me because there is magic in the world and it's not all happening inside our heads.

"It does not do well to dwell on dreams and forget to live."
This reminds me that however much I may want to sit in front of a computer and dream of one day being as big of a writer as Jo - that I should in stead be out there gaining the experience to render me trullly capable of it!

Some people, perhaps, would say that there was little to choose between the two ways, but Dumbledore knew - and so do I, thought Harry, with a rush of fierce pride, and so did my parents - that there was all the difference in the world." (HBP) This is one of my favorite quotes as well, but more so for contextual reasons - Harry had finally realized the future that was spread out in front of him (or rather, the future he individually selected, as opposed to fate determined by the prophecy, regardless of choice). I felt that this is where he "manned up", but it's a bit pitiful to read, because he's still essentially a child. I like that JKR wanted to assert the idea that our personal choices and the manner in which we enter taxing situations really makes all the difference. "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live" is also a favorite; almost like JK Rowling imagined for a moment that we might find ourselves in this terrible pit of Post-Potter Depression and would be in need of that type of reminder.

I have too many... “It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.” This just reminds me that it doesn't matter what you were born into but that your choices is what really matters, your choices can change everything, for the better or for the worse. Of course I also like "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live" and "Of course it's happening inside your head Harry, but why on earth should that mean it isn't real?" for many of the same reasons as everyone else has said.
